Christopher W. Wächtler

Postdoc at University of California, Berkeley

Theoretical Quantum Physics with focus on driven dissipative many-body physics at the interface of condensed matter and AMO systems. I am currently a postdoc in the group of Joel Moore (Berkeley). By the end of the year, I will join the group of Gloria Platero (ICMM, Madrid)

I have had the opportunity to delve into diverse subjects such as thermodynamics, quantum synchronization, and topology in both classical and quantum systems. My journey in this field has been enriched by a robust foundation in analytical skills and computational methods.

I am deeply grateful for the various sources of support I have received over the years, particularly the Walter-Benjamin Fellowship (DFG) and the upcoming Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship (EU), which I will commence in December.
